What Certyneo can migrate
Whatever your current platform lets you export can be brought into your Certyneo vault. Before we start, we tell you what can be moved and what cannot.
Your signed documents
Signed PDFs downloaded from your current platform are placed in your Certyneo vault: encrypted, with a digital fingerprint and a timestamp of the deposit date.
Your audit trails
The audit trails and certificates supplied by your platform are archived as they are, attached to their contract. We do not alter them: the signature remains the one made on the original platform.
Where each contract came from
For each imported contract we keep where it came from: platform, original identifier, and the dates and signatories as the export declares them. This helps you find a contract; it does not replace the evidence.
Your templates and workflows
Templates, signing orders and reminders cannot be transferred automatically from other platforms. You recreate them in Certyneo, which offers templates, signing order and automatic reminders.

You follow your request in your Certyneo account, and you receive an email when an export is requested from you, when the migration starts and when it is finished.

Your request and scoping
From your account you tell us your source platform and the estimated number of documents. A Certyneo operator picks up the request and proposes a migration plan.

Your permission
By sending the request you certify that you are entitled to migrate this data. Certyneo processes it as a processor; the data processing agreement (DPA) can be signed in self-service from your account settings.

Export from the source platform
Documents and audit trails are retrieved through the source platform's official API, or you hand us your export. Today our migration tool covers Yousign (Plus, Pro and Scale plans, with audit-trail download to be enabled on Yousign's side); for DocuSign we scope each case individually.

Checking the export before import
The export is checked before import: incomplete or unreadable folders are flagged and are not imported.

Deposit into the vault
Contracts are placed in your vault, each audit trail attached to its contract. Running an import again does not create duplicates. The result is detailed contract by contract: imported, already present or failed.

QA and validation
The fingerprint of each file is re-verified at import. Before closing the request, we check with you that the vault contains what the export contained.

Go-live
You choose when to start using Certyneo for new signatures. The migration changes nothing on your old platform: you keep it, or cancel it, whenever you decide.

The plans above differ only in the size of the migration: the tool is the same and all of them are free. The exact scope is confirmed during the scoping in step 1, at no extra cost whatever the volume.
What we promise — and what we don't
Migrating a signature platform has technical limits imposed by DocuSign and Yousign. We are transparent about them.
What we commit to
- Import the signed documents and audit trails that the source platform lets you export.
- Archive your PDFs and their audit trails exactly as your platform produced them, without altering them.
- Tell you exactly what was imported, what was already there and what could not be imported.
What we don't claim to do
- We do not work around the export limits of DocuSign or Yousign: a plan that does not open the API, restricted audit trails, a deactivated account.
- We do not automatically transfer your templates, signing orders and reminders: they are recreated in Certyneo.
- We do not redo your signatures: they remain those of the original platform. An imported contract is dated the day it is deposited, and your signatories are not notified.

Six questions to ask before you migrate.
How long does a migration take?
It depends on your source platform, the volume, and how quickly you hand us the export. We do not announce a lead time before scoping your case: it is specified during scoping.
Is the migration GDPR-compliant?
You remain the controller of your data; Certyneo processes it as a processor. The data processing agreement (DPA) can be signed in self-service from your account settings, and the list of sub-processors is published. Certyneo is a company under French law, and your data stays in the European Union. The exports you hand us are used only for the migration.
Do my signature proofs keep their value?
The migration modifies neither your signed PDFs nor their audit trails: they are archived as your platform produced them, with the fingerprint and timestamp of the deposit in Certyneo. The legal value of each signature remains what the original platform gave it: Certyneo adds nothing to it and takes nothing away.
What if my source platform doesn't export everything?
The import result states, contract by contract, what was imported and what was not. You then decide whether to keep access to the old platform for whatever could not be exported.
Do you rebuild my automatic workflows?
Not on your behalf: templates, signing orders and reminders cannot be exported from DocuSign or Yousign. You recreate them in Certyneo, which offers envelope templates, signing order and automatic reminders.
Do I have to commit to a Certyneo plan before the migration?
No: submitting the request and the scoping commit you to nothing, and the migration itself is free. Afterwards, you choose the Certyneo plan that fits your usage.
