What we promise — and what we don't
Migrating a signature platform has technical limits imposed by DocuSign and Yousign. We are transparent about them.
What we commit to
- Migrate 100% of signed documents that the source platform exports via its official API.
- Preserve the legal value of eIDAS proofs (timestamping, certificates, audit trail).
- Deliver a compliance report detailing exactly what was imported and what could not be.
What we don't claim to do
- We do not circumvent export limits imposed by DocuSign or Yousign (envelopes archived > 7 years, deactivated accounts).
- We do not promise to recreate exactly every advanced conditional workflow specific to the source platform.
- We do not guarantee exact equivalence of proprietary proof formats — only legal eIDAS value is guaranteed.

How long does a migration take?
Between 2 and 8 weeks depending on volume and the chosen package. Small bases (< 1,000 documents) are done in 2-3 weeks. Enterprise multi-account migrations can span 2 to 3 months, switch included.
Is the migration GDPR-compliant?
Yes. We sign a DPA upfront, we only access necessary data via your API credentials, and everything is Hosted in the European Union. Your exports are deleted 30 days after go-live.
Do my eIDAS proofs keep their legal value?
Yes. Proofs produced by DocuSign or Yousign remain valid and are archived as-is in Certyneo. eIDAS legal value is not degraded by the migration.
What if my source platform doesn't export everything?
We document every non-exportable case in the final compliance report. You decide knowingly whether to keep read-only access to the old platform or accept the loss.
Do you rebuild my automatic workflows?
Yes in the Business and Enterprise packages. We recreate the Certyneo equivalent of your envelope templates, signing order, recurring fields and reminders. Very specific conditional flows are adapted case-by-case.
Do I have to commit to a Certyneo plan before the migration?
No, not for scoping and the audit, which are free. Yes for the actual start — you sign a Certyneo subscription contract alongside the takeover contract. Both start on go-live day.
